Kinda blue...

I am kinda blue today. I mean, I don't have a job yet, and some promising prospects have turned out to be not so promising. I am still crashing at my brother's, where his girlfriend hates my guts and he’s getting a bit sick of me to. It is wet and boring outside. And some of my friends seem to not like me so much. I think I’ll stay inside in pjs for the day – at least until my brother gets home.

As for pjs, I’m not telling you what I’m wearing. But I will tell you I like the traditional pjs, beautiful and comfy and perfect for this cold climate. My fav brand on the budget side is Princesse Tam-Tam.

And when I’m in this mood, there is one thing I like better than anything, and that is to listen to opera. My fav opera is Verdi’s Aida. I mean, how sad can is it not when Aida, the Ethiopian princess, is held as a slave? That is no life for a princess. And when Aida has to choose between loyalty to her father and to her lover? My favorite part is when she sings “O Patria mia – quanto mi costi” It means “Oh, my home land, what you demand of me”, and I cry every time. What is my home land demanding of me? I don’t know yet, but it feels like a lot. What is Aida’s home land demanding of her? Certainly a lot.

Here's the aria for you to listen to - I sure hope you are happier than me today, though :))))
